Terrazzo Flooring

Terrazzo is a composite material, poured in place or precast, which is used for floor and wall treatments. It consists of chips of marble, quartz, granite, glass, or other suitable material, poured with a cementitious binder (for chemical binding), polymeric (for physical binding), or a combination of both.

Pros :

+ Durable Flooring

+ Cost saving

+ good in areas that get a lot of suns - Resist fading.

+ Sheer range of colors, designs, and materials used in terrazzo are awe-inspiring.

+ Easily be molded into panels.

+ Sweep and mop occasionally.

+ Thinset is lightweight and very resistant to cracking

Cons :

+ Used in the 1980s.

+ It’s not a DIY ( do it yourself ) installation.

+ Cost - some terrazzo is inexpensive to create, other aggregates can be somewhat expensive. It all depends on what materials are being used in the terrazzo. Terrazzo tiles are generally the least expensive to install.
